Dear Kallista's parents
Kallista is a great friend and if she leaves there'll be no one to encourage us the way she does, there'll be no one who makes us happy the way she does.
Kallista is the glue that holds our friendship together.
Kallista is like a big sister, to some of us. A big sister we never had.
If our big sister (Kallista) leaves we will be out of control.
There are no words to describe how great she is but,i'm gonna describe her with the words that exists in this world.

3rd chapter

Amelie Cain

They all went back to the Bentley and Skulduggery drove off to Ghastly’s place. Before they could get to Ghastly’s, a bullet shot through Valkyrie’s window, they all jumped out of the Bentley and Valkyrie pulled her new sword out of its scabbard. She held the sword in front her watching for the attacker, then there was another shot, this time it was from Scarlet, Valkyrie looked to her side and saw two bullets on the ground beside her. She realised that Scarlet had deflected the bullet that was coming for her and was amazed by Scarlets accuracy. Soon Scarlet and Valkyrie were back to back, all swords drawn from their scabbards.

Skulduggery pulled out his revolver from its holster and looked around for the attacker. He read the air and sensed the attacker; he turned and looked at the roof top of a tall building, saw the attacker, aimed the gun and fired. The attacker dropped from the building and crashed to the ground. The attacker was a very large figure from the distance. Then there was a smaller figure in the distance, and Valkyrie could only make out the brown braided hair and the black jacket she was wearing. The lady that was fighting against the giant man was really good at fighting, just like Tanith. Valkyrie missed Tanith, the real Tanith without the remment inside of her, sometimes Tanith would come and visit her but, it’s just not the same with the remment inside of her. They all ran to help the lady fight Valkyrie’s attacker. When they got to the fight, Valkyrie and Scarlet pulled out their swords and attacked from all sides of the man. The man was incredibly fast for his size and he blocked and dodged all of their attacks. Skulduggery took his new revolver out and shot the man’s cheek, the bullet bounced off and landed on the ground beside him. The man smiled at Skulduggery and pushed the girls away, he walked to Skulduggery and raised his hand up to Skulduggery’s skull and was about to crush it, when, the brown haired lady stabbed her sword into his leg and twisted the bone out. She lifted the sword above her head and brought it down onto the man’s chest.

Valkyrie and Scarlet helped each other up and walked over to Skulduggery, which was standing over the dead man’s body. The lady rested her bloody sword on her shoulder and stared at them. She started with a greeting  and introduced herself.

“Hello, my name is Amelie Cain”

Valkyrie’s mouth dropped open and she looked at Skulduggery who was looking away.

“You never told me that there was someone else with the name Cain.”She looked away and crossed her arms. Scarlet stared at both of them and shrugged her shoulders. She turned to Amelie and started talking. After an hour they all went back to the Bentley and Amelie followed. Skulduggery put it into gear and drove off to Ghastly’s.

2nd chapter

Meeting Scarlet Creed

They walked to the Bentley and the two girls talked to each other about fighting skills and magic. Skulduggery got into the driver’s seat and Fletcher sat next to him, the two girls just kept talking in the back seats. Skulduggery tapped the two symbols and the face retracted from his skull into the symbols and he looked back at the girls and stared. Valkyrie stared back at him “what?” she said, “You girls are really annoying when you talk,” Skulduggery said, “So,” Scarlet replied, “you don’t stop talking that’s why.” Soon the car was in silence, Skulduggery looked at Fletcher and Fletcher nodded and they teleported in front of the building where China’s library was. Valkyrie stared at Scarlet and laughed, Scarlet’s face was green and she looked dizzy, she opened the car door and spewed on the road, she closed the door and everyone in the car stared at her “what?” she said “you barfed on the road,” Fletcher replied.

They all got out of the Bentley and walked into the building and climbed the stairs, on the third floor they all moved to the middle of the corridor and Skulduggery knocked on the door that had a plaque which said ‘Library’. A moment later a thin man answered the door and they all entered the room, the thin man lead the way and they all followed him into a small clearing in the middle of the room. In the middle of the room was the most beautiful woman Scarlet had ever seen, Scarlet just stared at her and that was the only thing she could do, “you’re really pretty, has anyone told you that before,” Scarlet said softly. Valkyrie brought her hands up to her face and shook her he head, China looked at her and frowned, “what’s wrong Valkyrie,”she said softly. “Nothing, it’s just that you’re always doing this to people, making them fall in love with you all the time.”

“I keep telling you Valkyrie, it’s not me, they just love me.”

“Oh really,”Valkyrie said sarcastically.

She turned to Skulduggery and smiled, “So who is the innocent girl you dragged along with you to this dangerous and cruel world this time?”

“This is Scarlet Creed, and I didn’t drag anyone into anything in the first place.”Skulduggery said.

China looked over at Scarlet and smiled. “Hello Scarlet, my name is China Sorrows and this is my library.”

“Hello China,” Scarlet said as she slapped herself.

China turned to Skulduggery, “so have you come for more information?”

“Nope, just wanted to introduce you to Scarlet,” Skulduggery said childishly.

“What a waste of my time,” China said.

1st chapter

The New Girl

Skulduggery parked the car on the side of the road; it was a 1954 Bentley R-Type Continental. Skulduggery got out of the Bentley and tapped the two symbols which were etched onto his collarbones, and waxy tanned skin covered his whole skull. He turned to Valkyrie and smiled.

“How do I look?”He asked.

“Bald,” she replied.

They turned to the orange coloured house standing on the other side of the road. It was a Saturday afternoon in Australia and there was a light breeze blowing at Valkyrie’s hair.”Where’s Fletcher?”

“Here I am,” Fletcher said, standing right in front of Valkyrie.

She smiled at him and turned to Skulduggery. “Why are we here?”She asked.

“To meet your biggest fan,” he replied in a happy tone.

“I have fans!”She said happily

“No, you have a fan,” he said.

‘Oh.”

“What’s their name?”

“Her name is Scarlet Creed.”

“Scarlet Creed? Where did she get that name?”

“She said she liked the name Scarlet, and she got Creed from a video game.”

“Weird,”Valkyrie said.

They approached the house and Skulduggery rang the door bell, and a young girl with black hair answered the door. Skulduggery was about to introduce himself when, the little girl took one glimpse at Valkyrie and ran up the stairs to the second floor. A few minutes later louder footsteps came down the stairs and an older looking girl stood in front of them. She looked a few years younger than Valkyrie and she hand long black silky hair, she wore a black jacket and dark blue jeans. Scarlet stared at Skulduggery as he smiled.

“Who are you?”She asked with a weird look on her face.

“My name is Skulduggery Pleasant and this is my partner-.”

“Stop,” she interrupted with a happy look on her face.

“I know who this is, I’m sure it’s Valkyrie Cain, right?”

Valkyrie smiled at her and nodded. “Oh my gosh, it’s Valkyrie Cain, I’ve heard so much about you and I’ve even....”She paused, turned around and ran back up the stairs. A few seconds later she came back down the stairs and was holding something in her hands, it was long and was wrapped in black cloth she handed it to Valkyrie and took the black cloth off at the same time. Valkyrie stared at it with surprise; it was a sword just like Tanith’s but thinner and lighter, she held the handle and pulled it out of its scabbard it was gleaming in the sun and Valkyrie smiled “thanks,” she said.

“It’s ok, it’s the least I can do, for someone who saved the world from evil more than once.”

Skulduggery looked at the sword then Scarlet “did you forge that,”he asked with a surprised tone.

“Yep, from magic,” she replied, and handed him a revolver.

He smiled at the revolver then Scarlet.

“Do I get something?”Fletcher asked from next to Valkyrie.

Scarlet handed him a Swiss army knife and he frowned at it. “Is that all?”he asked disappointed. Scarlet ignored him and talked to Skulduggery. “Why are you here?”She asked.

“We need someone to replace Tanith for a while until we can do something about the remmant inside of her.”

“Do you realise I am weaker than Tanith and Valkyrie.”

“Yes, I do know but we need someone who knows how to fight and is not a bad guy.”

“Ok, I’ll help you for as long as you want me to. This is gonna be fun,” She said happily.

“Thank you,” Skulduggery said as he nodded.

“Hold on,” she said, and went up the stairs again. A few minutes later she came back down again, this time she had a reflection with her, she wore a black leather jacket, black sneakers and a sleeveless tunic, she had a knuckle buster on her right hand and she slipped two swords into the scabbards which were criss-crossed on her back. The reflection moved into the back of the house and Scarlet walked out and locked the door behind her. “Ok, I’m ready,” she said.
